Shuttle Run

There's not much to train for, in shuttle run. It depends on each individual's speed, as well as one's agility and flexibility. Acceleration is crucial to shuttle run, because it's too short a distance to reach our full speed. As such, we have to take off fast, and cut down on our turns, upon reaching for the line.

My own design
Pardon for the ugly drawing!! Back to my own style for shuttle run. I think that's what most basketball players are doing for their trainings, and running such short distances.

But for me, i'm emphasising on shorter distances, and pick up pace, and agility.

How to do it: S.P refers to starting point.

1) Run along line 1 to the first line i see, touch it and turn back running on line 2.
2) Then run along line 1 again, but this time, i run further up to line 3 (half court line), touch it.
3) Continue running forward again (line 4) to touch the "3 point line" at other side of court.
4) Run forward towards line 5, touch it, before turning right and run all the way back.

With every stop, we are forced to re-accelerate again at that point. So by bending and turning, we will get used to the motion, and our body will adjust itself to gain fastest speed at the shortest time.

Try to complete the whole round within 30-40s.
