Situp

Training for situps need not require u to be doing hundreds or thousands of situps every night, in the hope of forcing our 6 pack to show up. It's useless, sad to say! Situps will only force our fats to show up, rather than showing off our abs. Now there's an even easier, and yet efficient way to do it! LEt's start now!

Bridge /Plank
This exercise is known as the front plank, whereby it's concentrating on our core muscles, which is vital to making our muscles show. Other than that, training of core muscles will make us stronger, and have better balance too.

How to do this exercise: First, lie down flat on a mat/or flat surface. Then push yourself up, and supporting yourself with your elbows bent at a 90 degree angle as shown in the picture.

When in that position, breathe in, and hold your abs tight (but not hold your breadth ya), keeping your back straight and dun arch. (If u do it wrongly, u will be feeling a strain on your lower back, instead of your abs)

Stay in that position for 45s-60s. After which, rest for 1 minute, then continue for 2 more sets.

Only do this exercise 3 times a week, because u need rest for recovery and for your abs to show!


Leg raise    
Step 1
This exercise is mainly concentrating on our lower abs, which in a way, will help us in our chin up as well. There are two ways for this exercise, but i will be showing u this, whereby u can do it at home or anywhere.

How to do it: As shown on the picture on the left, that's step 1. Lying flat on the straight bench, with legs straighten, dangling outside the bench.


Step 2
Step 2: Raise both your legs up, using your lower abs power, then lowering them down to the starting position again. Do remember, dont make use of momentum by swinging the legs instead of lifting them up! U will feel the difference!

Do 3 sets of 10-15 repetitions or more, then rest 90s between sets.



** If the above exercise is too easy for u, try it on an incline then, or hang yourself up on the chin up bar, while lifting up your legs to a right angle.
